CJJA organizes and hosts annual meetings to encourage the exchange of knowledge and philosophies at the top administrative levels of juvenile justice and juvenile justice corrections systems. Three annual meetings open to all members of CJJA offer administrators sessions on best practices and evidence-based approaches in the field, the opportunity to share information, a forum to identify issues and to develop strategies to address them and an environment of collaboration and camaraderie that serves to unify the field of juvenile corrections.

CJJA’s national meetings also provide a forum for CJJA’s committees to meet, plan and present their work to the entire organization. in addition to the three annual meetings open to all directors, CJJA organizes an annual peer-led training for new directors and an annual retreat for its Executive Board.

CJJA’s four geographical areas (Northeast, Midwest, South and West) hold regional meetings to give administrators additional opportunities to collaborate with their peers. CJJA staff and members also regularly present at and participate in other conferences held by national organizations as a means to provide education and technical assistance related to improving youth correctional programs and services.

CJJA’s sponsorship program provides opportunities for companies providing services to youth corrections agencies.  Sponsors will be given the opportunity to meet and greet CJJA members at CJJA meetings and have exposure on the CJJA website (, in program brochures and CJJA newsletters. At CJJA meetings we will be providing a breakout room (courtesy space) for sponsors to use to meet individually with directors and have additional company materials on display.  Meeting sponsors will have their name and logo included on a new banner at the meetings.  (We also welcome any additional suggestions you might have to bring you more value for your sponsorship dollars.)
