In response to the field’s growing need for a juvenile focused training for facility directors/ superintendents, the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators (CJCA) in partnership with the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency and Prevention (OJJDP), is pleased to announce the provisional approval of our training program for facility leadership. The training program will be compromised of a 4-day in-person conference and 6-month TTA/webinar series. Upon successful completion, of both the conference attendance and TTA/webinar participation, attendees will receive a certificate of completion for the training.

The Superintendent’s Training is scheduled to be held on January 11-14, 2020 in San Diego, CA (provisional approval).

Through this OJJDP funding opportunity, CJCA will cover the cost of registration, hotel and flight arrangements. Jurisdictions will be responsible for covering the costs of per diem and incidentals.

Interested jurisdictions must email a completed application no later than COB Tuesday November 26, 2019 and send to Charity Brenstuhl at charity.brenstuhl@cjca.net.  The subject line of the submission should read: “Superintendent Training Application”.

CJCA staff will review applications and notify selected jurisdictions.

On or before Friday November 29, 2019 sites will be notified of their acceptance into the program. Those notices will be sent via email to the identified parties on the application by 5 p.m. EST.
